Australia has made the commitment to establish the world's largest and most comprehensive network of marine reserves by placing more than 3 million square kilometers of Australia's oceans under conservation management. They will also help other countries achieve the "blue economy" by almost doubling their support of the Coral Triangle Initiative, to $8 million (AUS) plus an additional $25 million (AUS) in funding for fisheries and climate change adaptation on the Pacific. Australia and the United States are joint leaders of the Clean Energy Solutions Center, a $15 million Internet-based technical assistance project in partnership with UN-Energy and 11 other countries.
