Is your country planning on announcing new initiatives at Rio?
China will contribute $6 million to a UN Environment Program trust fund for projects and activities that help developing countries raise capacity for environmental protection and will make available 31.7 million dollars for a three-year international project to help small island countries, least developed countries and African countries tackle climate change. China,Denmark, Sweden and United Arab Emirates the recently launched a Global Sustainable Cities Network, to be a platform for pioneering urban sustainability efforts. The initial focus areas include waste-to-energy and city-level demand management.

22 Chinese NGOs and entrepreneurs plan on hosting several China Going Green Dialogues during Rio+20 to highlight the innovative green practices and make commitments to action from the ground up.Read more here.
