Zimbabwe's Rio+20 committee sits within the Ministry of Environment. There will also be representation of Zimbabwe's civil society at Rio+20, but it is not integrated into the government committee.
Has your country completed a sustainable development review?
Zimbabwe has not conducted national sustainable development review, because review is only taking place at the African Union level.
Is your country planning on announcing new initiatives at Rio?
Zimbabwe is partnering with the private sector and other neighboring countries in the region. .
What is your vision for success at Rio+20?
Zimbabwe belives that Rio+20 should result in strengthening already exisitng plans, and they believe that no new commitments should be made. Focus should be given to fulfilling existing commitments from 1992 to date.
